Clients: Selected Work
CITY OF CLAYTON, MISSOURI/CLAYTON ART COMMISSION
Via developed the Public Art Master Plan for the City of Clayton, Missouri. This plan includes an Administrative Plan with policies regarding the selection, funding, and maintenance of public art projects in the City. It also includes a five-year Municipal Arts Plan, which identifies priority public art projects and artist involvement opportunities for the City, and a Community Education Plan celebrating the richness and diversity of the City’s public art collection.
In addition to developing their Master Plan, Via has worked with the Clayton Art Commission (CAC) to commission new public artwork for the community. Via worked with the CAC, the Clayton Parks and Recreation department and park neighbors to select artist Todd Frahm to create a playful artwork to fit with the Wydown Park renovation plan. Via also managed the installation of a new work by internationally recognized artist Alice Aycock at the City’s new recreation and community center in 2007.
